Yannis "Holes"

There are certain techniques and subjects in Yannis artwork that are evident. For example the use of void as a medium, reiterations, jaws, eyes nails. Then there are subtler techniques such as minute appearances of green in some of his black, white, red and yellow pieces. And the holes. Yannis would challenge you to view beyond the evident. Might the smalll holes he uses in several of his works be an alternative use of the void as medium? What do you think?
